Last week the New Balance 574 made a triumphant return in its OG grey tone to celebrate Grey Day. Lovers of the beloved silhouette made their way to The Yard in Shoreditch to commemorate the iconic colourways return in its original grey colourway.
As part of their global Grey Day event on 15th March, 2018 the brand hosted Ewen Spencer photograph exhibition that featured unique photography from the renowned culture photographer which included original shots of music artists including Jesse James Solomon, Conducta and Flohio, which showcased each of the individuals’ depiction of style wearing the New Balance 574.
DJ sets were served up courtesy of Mike Skinner and DJ duo Star. One. Samantha Matthews, Senior marketing manager of New Balance UK & Ireland said, “The 574 is more than just a silhouette to New Balance; it is a milestone in our brand’s history and a symbol of where we are today, which we are incredibly proud of. “Grey represents the enduring legacy of the original shoe that is still just as relevant today as when it was released back in the 1980s, so for us, Grey Day was all about bringing together people who could embody that legacy to create a truly iconic experience for all those who attended.
